Next on my to-read list

Have I mentioned lately that this list is growing faster than I can read? I need to work on that.

A Fall of Marigolds by Susuan Meissner. I read another one of Meissner’s books recently and loved it, so figured I better read another one. This one takes place both during 9/11/2001 and sometime in the early 1900’s. I love good historical fiction. We’ll see how this one goes.

Fairest by Marissa Meyer. If you haven’t read the Cinder series yet, what are you waiting for? Seriously, some of the best books I’ve read in a long time. YA fiction (obviously), fairy tales turned futuristic sci-fy. It took me a little while to get into the first book, because science fiction isn’t really my thing, but once I got hooked I couldn’t put the books down. Fairest is book 3.5 written after the main 4 books were done, so I can’t wait to read it!

Lockdown by Laurie King. I’ve never read anything by Laurie King before. But I read the summary for this book and some of the reviews when I bought it for the library so I figured I’d give it a try. I love a good suspense story focused around a high school. There’s always lots of juicy secrets in high school.

Have you read any of these? Are you adding them to your summer reads list?
